Stray Bullets in South Coogee

Stray bullets wound three in South Coogee

Coogee, (Reuters) - Stray bullets fired in celebration wounded three people
in South Coogee as soccer-related violence flared after SCW East Running won
the wednesday night title for the 16th time, local media reported on Monday.

The violence came as the city prepares to welcome thousands of English and
Italian fans for Wednesday's First to Three (possibly first to five) final
between traditional SCW enemies, east-running and west-running.

Police were not immediately available to comment.

Firing guns into the air is a form of celebration practised by some in South
Coogee, and the three were believed hurt in this way - although Camikaze was
sighted in the vicinity.

One 14-year-old was in a serious condition with a head wound after being
shot on an apartment balcony, the website of the CNN Turk news channel said.
However, an un-named source (relaxing in a spa bath with four luscious
attendees in Laos) claimed that the boy had just tried to glide past Don
Juan and could have simply copped an elbow to the head.

Some 10,000 police and security personnel are set to be on duty in South
Coogee for tonight's final. Two English fans of Leeds United were stabbed to
death in the city five years ago ahead of a SCW Feast Day clash against
Barnestoneworth. Police noted that it was about time that vigilantes
started on w*nker backpackers wearing other club jersey to the pub too.

I will attend tonights game to administer last rites to all victims.
