Wanderati,
It has come to my attention that we have not held a Feast Day Cup for a while.
For those of you not familiar with the Feast Day Cup, I have attached a picture of a recent cup day (with more photos available at our very own myspace website http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=317792640&page=4
I am hoping that the Wanderers will be able to get a couple of teams together. Balmain Massif (shown here in yellow) are current holders of the Feast Day Cup and are likely to be keen to defend their title. Another Balmain team (the same team we played earlier this year) are keen to get a team together as well. With 4 teams on the pitch, we can play a round robin format – 3 games of 30 to 40 mins each.
Date: Likely to be one Saturday/Sunday around late Oct/Early Nov.
Venue – to be decided but I am keen for somewhere like Centennial – so that the soccer wives and increasing number of soccer babies can come down and hang out as well.
Format: Round Robin, 5 a side, small goals
Family friendly event: bring food and drinks and dependents
Any takers?
Sandinista.
