T*pless car wash given go ahead
A t*pless car wash in South Coogee has been cleared for operation after authorities found no laws or water restrictions were being broken.
Strip club entrepreneur and South Coogee Wanderer Cagey le Coge has set up Bubbles 'n' Babes in the heart of the football club’s domain. The business offers a $55 car wash by a t^pless woman, and a $100 wash by a totally n^de female attendant - which includes a pg-rated show.
A police spokeswoman said today the only complaint received had been from Van Hankelroy, who complained about having to pay to see what is usually seen gratis. She said the business was run in a closed shed out of the public view and there had been no indication of wilful exposure, which is a criminal offence.
Acting South Coogee President Sebved said his concerns regarding public decency had been quelled after enjoying a complementary car wash. The operation also was running on recycled water and therefore did not break current level five restrictions, he said. "This is one of those extreme examples of people wanting to make a buck, but I think the public has been crying out for this opportunity in the market," Mr Sebved said as he rolled forward to the spit-polish stage of the wash.
Club Secretary General Abel Balbo said the South Coogee Wanderer’s fleet of Hummers would definitely be using the car wash, presumably at discounted rate given the behind the scenes role played by Balbo in ensuring there were no hiccups at the planning consent stage. It is believed Balbo suggested the idea to Cagey several months ago after a particularly long session in the sauna. “Why not combine two things you love?” he is alleged to have said, in reference to his two passions of V8 Donk and Sauna Girls.
"I'm sure there'll be a lot of people who've got strong views about this sort of thing and there's always be a market for it but it seems to me a pretty weird and wacky way to get your car washed," Cardinal Storrienko, one of the first and now most frequent patrons of the new service, said as he reversed back to the start of the wash process for the fourth time today. “I think car cleanliness is crucial in maintaining a good image for the Club and its values,” he said.
Cagey le Coge gave evidence at the McBride inquiry into pizza fixing almost 2 years ago and was sent to Melbourne for nine months after pleading guilty to keeping a premises for pr^stitution. He told the Maroubra Seals Newsletter this week the latest operation was above board.
"I'm just trying to make an honest dollar - simple as that," he said in a rare interview. “And what could be more honest than a little T&A?”
